engaged! annelise and blake

Despite it being winter, there was a mild day this month that was perfect for photographing Annelise and Blake’s engagement session. Everything we needed was found on their family farm: natural and vibrant colors, lots of great light, and incredibly happy couple. Toss in a couple of warm sweaters… and you have paradise found.  With the pro help of Craig Edwards of Craig + Co, Annelise and Blake are busy bringing their late-summer wedding plans to fruition.

newly wed: jacinda and dave (boise wedding photographer)

It was a chilly day in Boise when Jacinda said “I Do” to Dave. We’d decided to photograph their portraits in the Capitol building to avoid the wind and stay a bit cozier. And since Dave had proposed right in front of the building earlier that year,  it seemed fitting to be there again on their wedding day.  Jacinda wore a fun dress from the White by Vera Wang Collection and decided to add some vintage twists with a fur wrap and show-stopping wedding hair.  Even though she’s a natural beauty, I was so impressed when I first saw her that I gave her a high five. Like a couple of times.  The couple wanted their wedding to be warm and inviting for their guests and that’s just what their day turned out to be. I feel lucky to have photographed such a great couple. Event coordinating was done by the uber efficient Bliss Events.

newly wed: megan and anthony (boise wedding photographer)

Megan and Anthony are one of those wedding couples that I’d clone if I could – just to experience their wedding day with them over and over again. It was that good. From the couple’s gracious attitude, to the happiness that was in the air, to Megan’s silver Louboutins, to Anthony carrying on a tradition of dancing (disco) with a tambourine. A perfect wedding day. Planned and coordinated by Sarah at Storybook Weddings, hair by Camilla Orosco, and makeup be Megan Cozine for MAC.

portraits: jamie expecting

Jamie shows us all that pregnant women seriously glow! Putting our heads together, we planned a photo session to capture just how great Jamie looks: proving that even at seven months pregnant- she’s still got it. After some  bribing with a McD’s kid’s meal, her sweet daughter finally got around to deciding, okay, she’d be in the picture too- (ya know she’ll apreciate it when she’s older).  Gabrielle Marcantonio for Bobbi Brown helped bring out Jamie’s natural beauty.

if not now, when?

When I was editing this wedding (coming soon) my husband walked by, came back, leaned in toward my screen….”wow, go big or go home”.  Exactly.
